Brad Pitt On Set Of The Tree of Life: Terrence Malick’s “The Tree of Life” has apparently been seen by an internet blogger from the Home Theatre Forum website. Meanwhile, there is also random speculation by the Austin Chronicle, that the Austin-based Malick might unveil “Tree of Life” at Fantastic Fest in September. The event hosted the world premiere of “There Will Be Blood” in 2007. Jeffrey Wells as well as Filmstage.com picked up the blogger’s comments.

Apparently, per the blogger, “Tree of Life” is three hours long which comes as no surprise – it’s a Malick epic. There is also talk that there might be two cuts of the film, similar to what Malick did with “The New World.” The blogger is under the impression that the film will be released in October, but that information has yet to be revealed by the film’s distributor Apparition. “Tree of Life” was suppose to be shown to the New York Film Festival selection committee, but was pulled away.

Brad Pitt - Crashed chopper is the Pitts

Some would say Brad should stick to acting.  It's not all beer and skittles when it comes to being the world's sexiest man. Sure, Brad Pitt gets to go home to Angelina Jolie but he is just as prone to a bingle as the rest of us.

Brad Pitt - Crashed chopper is the Pitts

Pitt was last week forced to call in a truck to pick up one of his chopper-style bikes after he pranged it. The star of Inglourious Basterds (pictured) reportedly clipped a parked car, lost control and fell over. The good news is the chopper aficionado has plenty of other bikes to use while the damaged one is being fixed.

Brad Pitt - Inglourious Basterds

Brad Pitt - Inglourious BasterdsThe answer to that is a moment of silence. Soon we hear the first notes of eerie music, a foreboding of something sinister. Then from the heart of a tunnel a shadowy figure emerges with a baseball bat in hand. What we witness in the next few seconds is violence in its most raw and pristine form.

The baseball bat comes with the swiftness of a hurricane and the savage power that only pure hate can unleash. We hear the sound of wood meeting skull. It's gruesome. It's Quentin Tarantino - with the subtext that the Allies were pretty brutal too.

Inglourious Basterds isn't littered with such moments of intense savagery though one also gets to see scalps being knifed off the skull. But watching it we always feel a sense of looming menace that's almost Hitchcockian. In ordinary situations - be it a German officer drinking milk or biting into his apple strudel with fresh cream - we sense the possibilities of limitless terror, touch the mad angles of fear.
