Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s Jolie-Pitt Foundation has donated a generous US$1 million to four organisations working on behalf of children who have been displaced by the war in Iraq.

The sum will be divided amongst the Armed Services YMCA Operation Hero Program, Women for Women International, the International Rescue Committee and NineMillion.org.

"These educational support programs for children of conflict are the best way to help them heal," Jolie said in a statement.

"We hope to encourage others to give to these great organisations," Pitt added in the statement.

Angelina Jolie has cooed about partner Brad Pitt in one of the final interviews the actress has given before becoming a mum again.

As tabloids and gossip sites report the couple is struggling to stay together, Jolie insists nothing could be further from the truth - and she knows she has picked the right man to father her kids and spend the rest of her life with.

She says: "I'm very lucky - I'm with a man who makes me feel very sexy pregnant and loves children... He's an extremely handsome dad.

"Any woman knows that when you're pregnant, if you have a partner who is embracing it (pregnancy) with you, it makes all the difference. I'm very lucky to have him."

The discovery of a chapel on the grounds of the private wine estate Pitt and Jolie have leased for the summer has prompted gossips to speculate the pair may wed as soon as Angelina gives birth.

The Coldplay frontman admits he finds it hard to deal with the thought that Gwyneth - who is mother to his two children, Apple, four, and two-year-old Moses - used to be engaged to one of Hollywood's hottest heartthrobs.

He said: "I always felt it would be great to be with a very powerful woman because it would keep you in your place. Being married to someone very successful and very powerful basically keeps you hungry to improve.

Chris also revealed he only became confident with the opposite sex when he hit his twenties.

Chris admitted he often uses sleeping pills to combat his insomnia, but this can sometimes trigger unusual behaviour.

"I have a little corner where nobody can hear me in the middle of the night, and that's where I spend most of the night. I wake up the next morning and find these strange notes to myself - I'm a little bit ashamed about it!".

Angelina Jolie is heavily pregnant with twins in the South of France and a new report claims that she is more than a bit miffed with her boyfriend and baby daddy Brad Pitt over his plans to travel and work and make a living.  While that sounds a bit like a normal couple "The Enquirer" cites an insider this week that says the couple is at odds over Brad Pitt's travel plans.

The insider tells the weekly magazine that Jolie "exploded" after learning Brad Pitt was considering returning to the United States for a movie shoot, say sources. Brad was supposed to continue shooting his next film, "Tree of Life", at Utah's Bonneville Salt Flats in the middle of June, the Enquirer reports.

According to a friend, an emotional and overwrought Angelina exploded, lambasting Brad for being selfish:  "If this is what you want - then get out!"  If Brad has work to do in the United states, why did they go to France to wait out the birth of the twins?

The report claims that after weeks of squabbling over where Angelina would give birth to their babies - either in France of in the States - the 33 year old actress finally thought the argument had been settled when Brad, 44, agreed to a three year lease for a $70 million estate in Le Val, located in southern France, called Chateau Miraval.

Kristen Bell has caused some MAJOR controversy by suggesting that there is someone out there who she’d choose over Brad Pitt- her girlhood crush and hockey play (for the Detroit Red Wings) Chris Osgood.

Kristen Bell recently told NHL.com, “Brad Pitt be damned – he had nothing on Osgood's rookie skill and sad eyes. There was actually a day in high school when I wrote on a nametag 'Mrs. Osgood' and wore it the whole day. I really thought we were perfect for each other. I'd love to meet him – and probably apologize that things never worked out." We can’t help but wonder what Kristen Bell’s current boyfriend, Dax Shepard, has to say about all this.

Bell, who is currently enjoying the success of her recent film “Forgetting Sarah Marshall,” is rooting for The Red Wings, in the Stanley Cup finals. The Red Wings are currently in very good shape, as they are up two games to none. But there is still much more hockey to be played, so it’s not over yet!

Kirsten Bell continues to gush about not only Osgood but also the Red Wings team in general stating, “I grew up in Detroit and have always been a huge Wings fan. They have heart, skill, class – and the best color combination known to man. That is why they will win.”

Last month, Kristen Bell told Cosmopolitan magazine, “"I could spend all day weeping about the bad parts of this career, but I wouldn't change it ... You just buck up and build a thicker skin, you know?” We hope Brad Pitt has built up thick enough skin to cope with Kristen’s comments.

Jennifer Aniston has reportedly told friends that John Mayer is the best lover she has ever had.

The actress is apparently more impressed by her sex life with Mayer than with previous partners Vince Vaughn and Brad Pitt.

"Jennifer is calling John the best ever lover," a source told the National Enquirer.

"In fact, she can't stop raving about his skills between the sheets - insisting the sex with him is way better than it was with Brad during their four-and-a-half-year marriage."

Aniston's relationship with the musician is allegedly helping her finally get over her divorce from Brad Pitt.

"Only now, in John's arms, does she look even close to finally putting Pitt in the past tense," added the source.

If theres one thing that Angelina Jolie and partner Brad Pitt cant agree on, it would be what to name their as yet unborn twins.

The couple will welcome twins into the family on August 19, but they havent managed to come up with names as yet.

According to sources, Jolie is keen to name the babies Castor and Pollox after the twins of her birth sign, Gemini. However, Pitt is not to keen on the idea of his kids names sounding like a British cuss word, reports the Daily Telegraph.

The new additions to the family will take the number of kids to the Brangelina brood to six.

The couple are already parents to two sons Maddox and Pax, and two daughters Zahara and Shiloh.

Shania Twain and her producer husband, Robert “Mutt” Lange, are calling it quits after 14 years of marriage, her publicist confirms. Twain’s rep released a statement to People confirming the split, adding: “This is a private matter and there will be no further comment at this time.” No reason was given for the split between the Canadian country crooner and Lange. • Angelina Jolie yesterday said she was considering giving birth in France to her twins with partner Brad Pitt, 44. The 32-year-old actress was in Cannes for the release of animated children’s film Kung Fu Panda. Asked to comment on reports the birth was being planned in France, she said: “We haven’t completely decided but we are thinking of France.” The twins will be Jolie and Pitt’s fifth and sixth children. • Canadian director Jason Reitman is set to follow-up his critically acclaimed indie hit Juno with an adaptation of satirical novel Up in the Air, Variety reports. The Academy Award-nominated filmmaker is attached to adapt the novel by Walter Kirn but has yet to officially confirm if it’ll be his third film. Up in the Air satirizes corporate culture and follows a consultant who specializes in “career transition counselling,”

Zahara and Maddox can't watch "Seven," "12 Monkey's" or "Kalifornia" ... actually come to think of it, very few of their papa's pics are appropriate for the young brood of babes. But that might be changing since Brad Pitt is rumored to be the first choice to get his hands on the family-friendly hammer of Thor in an upcoming movie.

Brad's obviously capable of conjuring up the required physique to play the fictional character based on the mythological Norse god and, after watching a credible actor like Robert Downey Jr bring a soul to "Iron Man," Marvel (which owns both "Thor" and "Iron Man") wants to go after a similar sensibility here.

It's unclear which comic book plot the film would follow (there have been umpteen reinventions) but the leading candidate is the original version which saw Thor's father try to teach his son humility by stripping him of his memories and his powers when he places his son into the body of a partially disabled med student named Donald Blake. Only when he learns to believe in himself does he learn to change back-and-forth between the two personas.
